ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty High School officials are disappointed that no adults attended the first night of their play production, and they're asking for support. Their comedy "Five Woman Wearing the Same Dress," opened last night to a slim crowd.
Educators are asking parents of students at the school and the community to show support by attending the play tonight or tomorrow night.
"We want you to come and we want you to support our students because they are working hard. And it makes them want to work hard. It gives us momentum," said Dougherty High Drama Teacher Christen Taylor.
The drama teacher says these are good kids who are serious about their education and deserve to be recognized.
The play begins at 6:00 Thursday and Friday night at Dougherty High School.
