Two men wanted by DCP

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police are asking for help to get two men charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery off the streets. They issued arrest warrants for 19-year-old Ronnie "Pig" Hamilton and 23-year-old Fred Smith.

They're accused of trying to rob Calvin Beckhom at gunpoint last month  when he went to meet a girl at a Marie Road alley. He got away from the would-be robbers. Two other suspects have been arrested.

Police say Hamilton and Smith are dangerous.

"We did recover one gun the vehicle. But most of the time when people commit armed robberies or those types of crimes, they do lose a gun or get rid of a gun, they will get another pretty quickly," said DCP Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick.

If you have any information about "Pig" Hamilton or Fred Smith, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
