ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Downtown Manager says a developer is interested in the Albany Heights property.
Request for proposals were advertised in October and ended on November 13th.
The Downtown Manager says they received a proposal from a developer who wants to develop the property for residential and commercial purposes.
She says the city is only considering developers who have the financial means to support the project.
"So to have someone to submit a proposal that demonstrates that they have that financial means for the overall capacity to be able to develop or redevelop the site is pretty exciting," said Latoya Cutts, Downtown Manager.
City Commissioners will take a vote on the proposal Tuesday.
