Cuthbert PD wants to catch dangerous robber

Col. Jennifer Fairbanks Col. Jennifer Fairbanks
CUTHBERT, GA (WALB) -

A frightening Cuthbert robbery was caught on camera.

It shows a robber hold a customer at gunpoint, while demanding a clerk to empty the cash register at the Country Corner, Saturday night around 9:30.

Police say the crime is similar to another armed robbery in the city recently, but so far no one has been able to identify the robber.

"This is really alarming for us," said Col. Jennifer Fairbanks of the Cuthbert Police Department. "And we just want to ask all the citizens, if you can identify or help us locate this person, contact the police department."

Fairbanks says Cuthbert Police are increasing patrols, and are asking for more sheriff's deputy patrols to help keep businesses safe.
