ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An honor society at Albany State University is collecting coats for foster children.

The Phi Alpha Honor Society held a 'Coats for Tots' drive Monday evening as one of their service projects.

The coats will be donated to several foster families though the Terrell County Division of Family and Children Services.

"When we find folks that are in need we try to do something for persons who are unfortunate. Sometimes people are unfortunate not because they don't have money but because of situations. So, when we find people in situations we try to do something for them," said Dept. of Social Work Chair Marilyn Spearman.

The organization will collect coats throughout the week.
