ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Many people were fighting holiday traffic to get back home on Sunday. Fortunately the weather had been good.
Many gas stations in Albany were packed as drivers hit the road after Thanksgiving, making this one of the busiest days on Georgia's roads.
"So far so good but we're always watching the map and see what's traffic like once we get closer to Atlanta," said Bobby Bergman.
Most people said it was pretty easy getting down to South Georgia, but getting back may be a different story.
"I am praying not but if it is it is and if it's not that's great," said Darrin Cosby.
Last year, the GSP investigated 15 fatalities during the Thanksgiving holiday.
