A 20 year old man in Thomasville is shot after leaving a liquor store

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A 20 year old man was shot last night in Thomasville while walking to his car in a liquor store parking lot.

Officials say Charles Crump and a friend were leaving the Carol Hill Package store when shots were fired at them as they were entering the car. Crump was the only one who was shot and he was transported to Archbold Hospital. Investigators are still searching for the suspect.

"At this time we do not know what the intent of the suspect was but we do know shots were fired and at least one person was struck a victim Charles Crump was struck by one of the bullets as he was shooting," said Major Hampton.

Investigators are searching for a male suspect, Terry Willis, in connection with the crime. If found responsible, Willis will face felony aggravated assault charges.
