One dead and one injured in early morning shooting

TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

One man is dead and his cousin is injured after an early morning shooting Friday in Tift Co.

28-year-old Dexter Lampkin was killed around 2:50 a.m. and his brother Gregory Lampkin was injured after a gunman shot both men.

Relatives said that Dexter and Gregory were standing in front of a family member's home in the 3100 block of Wilton Avenue along with several other people when the gunman walked up and shot the brothers.

No arrests have been made. The GBI and Tift Co. Sheriff's Office are investigating and ask that anybody who was there or has any information to call the GBI or the Sheriff's Office.
