Two wanted in armed robbery scheme

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police arrested two people and issued warrants for two more wanted for trying to rob a man at gunpoint last week.

27-year-old Jamel Miller and 17-year-old Makayla Ingram were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.  Investigators say Miller was the getaway driver while Ingram set up Calvin Beckhom to be robbed.

They're still looking for 18-year old Ronnie Hamilton and 21-year-old Fredriquez Smith.

Investigators say Ingram lured Beckhom to a Marie Road alley, just before midnight November 16th.

"She was going to meet him for some money, and when she told these other people about what was going to happen, they all conspired and agreed they were going to try to rob him," said Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick Dougherty County Police.

Investigators say Beckhom escaped the gunmen, but they followed him to his East Park Court home. He called police who captured Miller while the other suspects escaped.

If you know where Hamilton or Smith is, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
