SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Cotton that fell out of a large module truck on North Main Street in Sylvester caused a temporary traffic issue.
The spill happened in the southbound lanes of Main, also Highway 112, across from the Walgreen's Pharmacy.
Around 9:00 this morning, a truck carrying cotton hit a bump in the road going down Main, near Franklin Street.
One witness told us that some people did not stop even though the massive cotton bale fell on the road.
"Actually it was coming across the intersection went across the little bounce and the weight of it shifted, and one of the bales fell, fell out," said Tommy Lynn, who works across the street.
Police believe the bale fell because it wasn't secured properly.
