Albany cancer patient now has power

Farrell Burgin, Cancer Patient Farrell Burgin, Cancer Patient
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The power is back on at an Albany cancer patient's house.
Moments after WALB’s story aired about Farrell Burgin's struggles aired Monday night, Albany City Manager Sharon Subadan ordered the utility department to turn the electricity back on.
Tuesday, crews fixed her gas so she's got hot water.
Over the last 24-hours, donors also gave more than $2700 to a gofundme account to help Burgin.  Some businesses also helped her stock up on groceries.
Burgin says she cried happy tears all day.

"These people have done so much for me,” said Farrell Burgin. “Everybody, I want to thank Everybody for helping me and helping my family."

"I think it's amazing,” said Cheryl Berry, Friend. “I always say that there's angels among us and now I truly believe that even more.”

Berry says they also received help from City Commissioner B.J. Fletcher and donations continue to come.
Burgin should have enough money to pay the bills she owed and next month's bills as well.
