Moultrie seeks new city manager

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

The city of Moultrie is looking for a new city manager.

Last week the current city manager, Mike Scott, announced his plan to retire in April of 2016.

He has been city manager for nearly eight years.

Mayor Bill McIntosh said they're accepting applications and hope to fill the position around the time of Scott's retirement.

"[We're looking for] someone with experience and with the ability to see what our problems are, what our possibilities are, and work on both of them," said McIntosh.

He also said ads will be posted in the Georgia Municipal Association and Association County Commissioners of Georgia.

Those interested are asked to contact the city.
