ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some Dougherty County elementary students are giving back to folks in need this season.
Students with MLK Elementary and Live Oak Elementary school brought canned goods to their Harvest and Fall festivals.
Monday, about 200 canned goods were delivered to the Faith Community Outreach Center.
"This is a big component of our service learning part of the program. We like to teach children to give back and just to understand there is always someone less fortunate," said Erin Hutchins, 21st Century Program Director.
The Faith Community Outreach center helps families in need, and provides shelter for women and children. They say they can always use donations.
