ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany car dealership donates thousands of dollars to an Albany school.

Friday evening, Sunbelt Ford gave more than $6,000 to the Athletic Booster Club at Monroe High.
Ford donated $20 for each of more than 300 test drives during a Drive 4 Your School event in August.
They've raised more than $20,000 for area schools in 3 years.

“It's a testament to the entire Monroe community for our booster club to have this initiative and for so many supporters to show up and support our efforts in increasing student achievement,” said Vinson Davis, Monroe High School Principal.

"We try to help all of the community schools because they need fundraisers to help with their sports programs and so forth,” said Pete Pines, General Manager of Sunbelt Ford.

Monroe High School will use the money to help with their sports camps, equipment, and honors programs.
