ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany kids have a good time while giving to the less fortunate.
The 21st Century after school program held their second annual Harvest Festival at Live Oak Elementary School this afternoon.
Students were required to bring canned goods to enter the dance.
The food will be donated to Faith Outreach Center on Monday.
"I think it's important as a community that we teach our children and students to learn how to give to others that are in need," said Cicely Grant, Site Director at Live Oak Elementary School. "Sometimes yes we have to bring in other things that they will have fun with so they can understand that giving to others that it is important."
More than 100 food items were collected at Live Oak and Martin Luther King Elementary Schools.
