ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Recreation and Parks Department wants your help to support law enforcers.
They're planning a "Back the Blue" basketball game between the Albany Police Department and the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office.
The players will also compete in a three point shootout.
The Recreation Department will hold meeting Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. for organizations that would like to participate.
"We need that gym filled up with people with "Back the Blue" T-shirts on, supporting them, being cheerleaders," said Tee Taylor, Albany Recreation and Parks Supervisor. "We are asking different groups to come and cheer for our "Back the Blue" police officers."
Entry fee to the game will be toothpaste or toothbrush that will be given to Seniors in nursing homes.
The game will be played December 12th at 5:30 at Robert Cross Middle School. For more information contact Albany Recreation and Parks at 430-5222.
