ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dozens of Albany Technical College students are ready for jobs in healthcare fields.
More than 50 students in programs including Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technology and Health Information Management were recognized during a pinning and capping ceremony tonight.
Keynote speaker Charles proctor, an Albany tech grad, had advice for the soon-to-be professionals.
"Understand your industry," said Proctor. "Know everything there is to know about what you do. If you can touch it where you work, know what makes it work. If it's a human body, you've got a lot to learn."
Proctor also taught at Albany tech and helped start the school's paramedic program.
