THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) -

Thomas County Prison inmates Joshua Fountain and James Waldron ran away from a work detail around noon Tuesday on boat ramp road near highway 19.

Investigators say they will continue searching 24-hours a day until the men are back in custody.

"If we were positive that they were not in the area, we wouldn't still be out here searching. We're looking for that piece of information that's going to show us that they made contact or tried to make contact somewhere and hopefully someone has seen something and is going to call us," said Captain Steve Jones.

Officials want people to be on the lookout for the two men. They say you should call 9-1-1 if you think you see them.
