Rainy weather is causing problems for south Georgia cotton farmers. Many were finally able to get back into the fields to harvest yesterday and Wednesday, but more rain tonight will halt the harvest again.
Farmer Billy Clary says cotton needs time to dry after rain before they can pick it.
"If it rains it makes the cotton dark and you have to have some good bright sun to bleach it back out before you pick and you need the seed to get hard, and then you can go back to picking."
Farmers hope for sunny weather after tonight's storms blow through.
