LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Lee County Manager Ron Rabun has been fired after a unanimous vote by the county commission.

All five commissioners voted to officially terminate Rabun for what they called "repeated gross abuses of Lee County ordinances" and "a failure to follow directions."

The announcement comes after his office was seen empty of his personal items over the past few days.

Lee County Commission Chairman Rick Muggridge previously said Rabun had not been asked to resign and was not on any kind of leave.

He had been the Lee County Administrator for nearly two years.
