ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The planned beer mega-deal of Anheuser-Busch InBev will involve the sell-off of major beer brands to beverage rival Molson Coors.
In a $12 billion deal, CNN reports that InBev is expected to give Molson Coors full U.S. control of iconic beer brands like Miller Lite and Coors Light, in order to buy SAB Miller for $107 billion.
InBev said it hopes to close the deal in 2016, pending the approval of anti-trust regulators.
The Miller-Coors Brewing plant in Albany employees about 500 people. It was not yet clear if a finalized merger would have any impact on operations in Albany.
