ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Technical College hosted a Veteran's Day ceremony Tuesday to recognize those who have served in the armed forces.

President Anthony Parker spoke at the event, Monroe High School students presented the colors and the Lincoln Elementary Magnet School chorus performed.

"We need to carry the word that veterans have done so much for so many, but we tend to ignore that. And as I've said before, we're free not because of politicians, but because of the contributions of veterans," said Pastor Richard Pogue from the Oakridge Baptist Church.
