The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office got complaints from citizens about unusual activity at a house in Lake Park, so they went to investigate, last Friday afternoon.
Investigators with the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a travel trailer on Highway 41 South.
They found a cache of Oxycodone valued at $2,800, in the home of Jackie Dale McMillan, and confiscated the drug, and arrested McMillan.
Oxycodone is a schedule II narcotic that mimics the effects of Heroin.
Jackie McMillan, 58, was taken to the Lowndes County Jail, charged with Possession of Oxycodone with the intent to distribute
Sheriff Chris Prine said "Most investigations are solved with the help of the public and that is the case here. Cooperation between law enforcement and the public is a necessity for safe communities."
