ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Shiloh Baptist Church has wrapped up their annual men's day activities.

Darton State College President Dr. Paul Jones was a guest speaker at the event.

Jones focused on a message of being courageous. He believes that the message was specially important in the Albany community.

"And I think now for us it's time for us to come together as a community to start working towards, facing those head on and moving this community forward in an extraordinary way," said Jones.

Jones was asked about the recent talks of the Albany State-Darton State merger, but he declined to comment until Tuesday's meeting with the board of regents.
