A south Georgia community mourned the loss of their county's fire chief.
Chief Ray Lunsford passed away Saturday morning after his battle with cancer.
Lunsford was diagnosed in the summer of this year.
He was the fire chief for 20 years in Crisp County.
Before that, Lunsford was a retired Albany Fire Department employee.
Sheriff Billy Hancock said the community has lost a great leader in fire service and in the overall community.
