Officials find suspect who fatally shot a mother and wounded two children

A mother and two children were shot. A mother and two children were shot.
WAYCROSS, GA (WALB) -

Waycross Police responded to a 911 call for help at about 1:55 a.m. on Saturday in the 600 block of Owens St.

Shanique Bellamy, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was shot and fatally wounded as well as 6 months pregnant at the time.

Two children, ages 1 and 3, were also shot and wounded during the incident. Both children are now in critical, but stable condition.

Officers from WPD were able to give St. Mary's Police Department information on the suspect about 8 a.m. Police then arrested 30-year-old Clinton Lee Davis in St. Mary's, Georgia.

Davis is the father of one of the small children. He was charged with the murder of Bellamy, Feticide, and Aggravated Assault.
