MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Folks in Moultrie are helping the Police Department stock the Food Bank's shelves for the holidays.
The Moultrie Police Department hosted their Stuff the Cruiser event today in the Walmart parking lot.
They collected non-perishable food items to make sure people in the community don't go hungry this holiday season.
They loaded up four patrol car loads of donated food.
"This has been extraordinarily fantastic," said Sgt. Rocky Hancock with Moultrie Police. "We have been able to gain at least four patrol cars full of food donations. It's been great for us."
"Our community supports us and the food bank and the results of this have exceeded all of our expectations," said Andrew Christensen with Colquitt County Food Bank.
If you missed Friday's event, you can still drop off donations at the police department or at the food bank.
