VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The world famous United States Air Force Thunderbirds are in South Georgia.
The precision flying team arrived at Moody Air Force Base this afternoon to prepare for an air show this weekend.
Officials say you'll see air power and formation flying at its finest with their six F-16s.
The team's mission is to bridge the gap between the community and the air force.
"You can see our six aircrafts they're going to be flying as close to 18 inches apart at sometimes during the show going 500 miles an hour," said Sara Harper,Thunderbirds Public Affairs Officer. " So, lots of loops, lots of rolls, lots of jet noise and a lot of energy."
The Thunderbirds will perform Saturday and Sunday at Moody.
The ground show starts at 3.
Takeoff is set for 3:30.
