More charges filed in Dougherty County shooting

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

Additional charges have been filed against a Dougherty County man, arrested for shooting his wife Sunday.

Dougherty County police have added charges against 32 year old Artinitia "Clyde" Stringer.  In addition to aggravated assault, police have added charges of aggravated battery, firearm possession during the commission of a felony, and firearm possession by a convicted felon.

Investigators say Sunday at their home on Council Road, Stringer shot his wife in the face during an argument between the divorcing couple.

Phoebe Putney Hospital officials are not releasing any information on Debbie Stringer's condition.

    Fire Fighters at Fire Station 2 reported that a man approached the fire station bleeding from a chest wound.  They provided first aid and called for EMS.
