ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany school has a unique way to help students boost their reading levels.
Sherwood Acres Media Specialist, Susan Daniels, came up with a color coding system to show the reading level for more than 500 books.
She says Principal Brent Fowler wanted to make sure students are prepared for the Georgia milestones and improve their reading.
"They will be able to choose books that are geared towards their reading ability and it will help teachers be able to choose the book levels for their students and help them to grow," said Susan Daniels, Media Specialist.
Students are given an assessment every 9 weeks to determine their reading range.
