ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany City manager Sharon Subadan and Albany Firefighters placed a sign on a truck full of supplies, before it headed to South Carolina to help flood victims.
The water and cleaning and baby supplies were donated by people in Albany, many of whom remember or were victims of the Flood of 1994.
Albany City Manager Sharon Subadan said "This is our opportunity to be on the giving end. We know that for our friends and neighbors in South Carolina recovery will be happening for a long time. And so I'm happy that we're able to do this for them."
City officials, Firefighters, and Sherwood Baptist Church volunteers helped put together the donation effort.
That truck is now headed to Sumter, South Carolina where Sumter United Methodist will hand out the donations to storm victims.
