FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - Fitzgerald's Grand theater is putting together to the final plans for its grand reopening.
The theater had to go digital to continue showing movies.
Managers also decided to change up some of the seating, paint the inside the original colors, and complete other upgrades.
According to the theater's manager it was something they had to do.
"Well some of it was forced by Hollywood. As far as being able to show film 35 millimeter is now extinct They aren't making it any more . And so if you want to continue to show first run film you have to upgrade to digital film," John Durkovic said.
The cost of the makeover was about $3,000.
You're welcome to attend the ribbon cutting at noon this Friday.
