ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Southwest Georgia Regional Fair officials didn't let rain keep them from setting up Monday.
Workers and vendors are getting ready for the 69th annual fair at the Albany Exchange Club Fairgrounds.
Organizers say the grounds are draining well and they have sand on stand-by.
They say the fair brings in an economic impact of more than a million dollars and raises money for organizations that help child abuse victims.
They say you can expect new acts this year.
"Singing it's three brothers and a cousin, out of this world, they've been on Oprah, they've been on several other large shows," said Ralph Paustian, Fair Board Vice President. "They've cut a couple of records. We got the Mack George Band that's gone be out here Thursday night. We got a hypnotist, magician, Tammy, that's going to be out here during every night this week. She is fabulous."
Gates open Tuesday through Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 11, and Sunday at 1.
