Power restored to more than 1,000 homes

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

According to the Georgia Power website at least 1,063 homes were without power Monday evening.

Georgia Power officials say that a tree that fell on Radium Springs Rd. caused the power outage to the area.

The website's map indicated that the outage went down Highway 19 from around the Williamsburg Rd. area to just past Daniels St. in Baconton.

The outage also reached as far west as Hard Up Rd. and as far east as Pinto Dr.

Crews worked quickly and safely to get the power restored.

If you would like to see the areas that may still be affected you can look at Georgia Power's map here.
