East Albany church gives gifts of love for those in need

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Members of Ebenezer Christian Center gave away food and canned goods to about 800 people. They gave out cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving as well as Kleenex, paper towels, and clothing.

"And we know that there are needs in to the community and we're just trying to help with those who can't really afford some of the things that we possibly can give them," said pastor Charlie Williams.

It's something they do every fifth Saturday. The next giveaway is planned for January.

Fight Albany Blight will host a Summer Youth Programs Fair on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Community Recreational Center.
