ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Officer Bones with the Albany Police Department is inviting everyone to join him at the Fall Festival on Saturday night in downtown Albany, as a safe and family-friendly alternative to Trick-or-Treating.
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Front Street will be blocked off from the Broad Avenue Bridge to the Riverquarium. There will be a huge street party, hosted by the Gethsemane Worship Center along with the Albany Police and Dougherty County Sheriff's Office.
"We have a lot of entertainment. We have lot of candy," said Bishop Frederick Williams. I think the last count we had about 26,000 pieces of candy, had come in. And much more than that. So we're looking for a good time."
More than 5,000 people attended last year's Fall Festival. Organizers hope for an even bigger turnout for this year.
