Child support check leads to Meth bust

CAIRO, GA (WALB) -

Grady County Sheriff’s deputies went to Mathis Road to pick up David B. Donald, Jr. for child support. They went in and saw that he was also manufacturing methamphetamine. They arrested him on the spot.

They got a warrant and found a Meth lab along with several other illegal items, which they seized.

Donald, 31, was charged with three counts of Child Support Arrest Orders, one count of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Unlawful Possession of Ephedrine.

Crystal Johnette Parris, 29, was charged with one count of manufacturing a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Unlawful Possession of Ephedrine.

Investigators from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force were called in, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for the cleanup and disposal of the Meth lab.
