Dougherty Co. Sheriff invites residents to a BBQ

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

Sheriff Kevin Sproul is inviting everyone in Dougherty County to come out and have lunch with him and his deputies Saturday.

It will be the sixth annual Building Unity in the Community BBQ. Sheriff Sproul is cooking and will have have free games and activities, including fishing at the Robert Cross Lake.  

"It's our way of continuing our strong ties with the community and building rapport with people in the community, who may not know us or know about the Sheriff's Office," said Sheriff Sproul.

The Building Unity in the Community BBQ will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert Cross Park on Martin Luther King Drive.

All the food and games will be free and hosted by Sheriff Sproul.
