ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County School System is adding buses to their fleet.
The board approved the purchase of six new buses. Each costs a little more than $80,000.
Transportation Director Kenneth Williams says the buses will provide more dependable transportation for students.
"We have a healthier fleet in that we have less maintenance problems, on-time arrivals. It will help with our on time arrivals. So its gonna be a win win for the school system," said Williams.
The buses will arrive next year in April or May.
