A Lee County family is raising money to help their 10-year-old son hear. Nicholas Ball has been deaf since he was 16-months old. Family members need to raise $118,000 for cochlear implants that their insurance doesn't cover. In sign language, Nicholas is asking for help to hear.
"To me every child needs to hear their mother's voice, their sibling’s voice,” said Joseph Ball, Father. “It'll help him in school. Originally I'm from Moultrie, we moved up here so he can go to school in Leesburg because the hospitals in Atlanta recommended it."
Ball is selling $2 raffle tickets for Turkey Dinners to raise money. Find out how you can help and to see more of Nicholas Ball’s story by clicking here.
