Lee County to work on food truck ordinance

LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Lee County leaders are working on an ordinance to regulate food trucks.

The County Manager says food trucks are getting more popular in South Georgia and they need to make sure they have rules to make sure they operate safely in Lee County.

"We're going to go back and look at some ordinances from other places too and check them out and see what we want to recommend back to the board about how they oughta work in this county,” said Ron Rabun, County Manager.

So far, there's only one Food Truck in Lee County run by Meat Slangers Bar-B-Que.
