ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The opening date for Albany's new downtown bridge over the Flint River is now officially set.
The Broad Avenue Memorial Bridge will open on Veterans Day with a ceremony to honor all war veterans.
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard encourages everyone to attend the celebration.
"It is going to be dedicated to all Veterans," said Dorothy Hubbard, Albany Mayor. "If you remember the first bridge was dedicated to World War I Veterans, but at this juncture and since this is a different time we want to dedicate this bridge to all veterans."
The bridge opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on November 11th.
