Albany's early voting is slow

The Dougherty County election supervisor says early voter turnout has been pretty poor.

Early voting for mayor and Ward 4 on the city commission will be going on for the rest of this week before election day next Tuesday.  So far, less than 3% of registered voters have showed up.
"We have approximately over 30,000 registered voters within the city. Currently, in our office, we've seen probably about 900. We haven't even hit the 1000 mark," said Elections supervisor Ginger Nickerson.

The elections office is open at the government center downtown from 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.
