LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Georgia's Speaker of the House makes a visit to South Georgia.
Speaker David Ralston attended a private fundraiser in Lee County.
We asked what he thought about a religious freedom bill and an expected casino gambling push during next year's General Assembly session.
He wouldn't say much about those issues.
He says he's more concerned about strengthening the HOPE Scholarship program and attracting more jobs to Georgia.
"I want our focus to be on issues that make us competitive as a state because I think it's important that we create economic opportunities for all Georgians to have jobs, grow jobs here, good paying jobs in every part of Georgia," said Rep. David Ralston, ( R ) Blue Ridge.
The General Assembly opens on January 11th.
