ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany state university held a self-defense workshop to teach protection techniques and awareness.
The class is offered twice a year to the campus community.
ASU police say it's important.
"We're doing this because we believed in community oriented policing, and we believe in giving back to the community, also helping the school to become more aware of changing times and changing trends in crime," said Marcus Guess, ASU Police.
The class is free for college students and for the public.
