THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - A public hearing was held this evening for a proposed Thomas County shooting range. The shooting range is mainly used by deputies and officers for training purposes but that all could change if the county decides to make this go public.
The Board of Commissioners attended that meeting to listen to concerns.
Thomas County Commissioner Elaine Mayes said, "Tonight is really a night where we're gonna take comments from any citizen that wants to speak. We're asking that they come, tell us what they like about it, what they don't like about it. We do have some petitions."
The Board of Commissioners will vote on whether they decide for the shooting range to go public or not.
