ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Residents still have time to give as the city of Albany continues to collect donations for South Carolina storm victims.
Firefighters have been manning a truck parked at the Albany Mall near the Sears Automotive Center.
Many south Georgia donors said they are contributing because of the help they received after the Flood of 1994.
"The biggest need right now and what we're concentrating on primarily is diapers and non-perishable baby items. But of course water and other cleaning [items]. Disinfectant wipes, those kind of things are what we're looking for," said Kelly Harcrow with Albany Fire Department.
The truck is parked and available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The items will be delivered to storm victims in South Carolina as soon as the truck is filled.
