Spooky run gets folks into the Halloween spirit

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

What better way to get into the Halloween spirit, then with a spooky run at Chehaw Park.

Armed with costumes, dogs, and glow sticks, folks took to the trails for a 5K run or walk.

People who dressed up got free glow sticks. The race wrapped up with free food.

Organizers said it was a fun way to get people involved with Chehaw Park.

“We have some people that are really passionate about this environment here, and just sharing it with the community. We spent a lot of time out here, and we just want people to know about it,” said organizer Josh Fix.

This is event is also a fundraiser that helps them with maintaining the trails.
