THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Five people are behind bars for use of the illegal drug methamphetamine. An investigation now is underway to find out who sold it to them.

Investigators said the arrests happened Tuesday morning when they found a bag of meth inside of a woman's home. Starting there, Kristy Brooks and Marcello Hinojosa were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

About an hour later, police also arrested Theresa Woodell, Ronnie Mitchell and Mikel Aron for possession.

"We've arrested those people that we know that had it here and we're investigating where it came from and see if we can prosecute the person there," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.

According to investigators, the suspect lives in another county.
