A recent study of tourism in Albany showed our city has something to offer out of town guests but we just need to do a better job of getting people to come here.
That of course will require spending more money.
We agree with the Randall Survey's recommendation that the split of the hotel/motel tax be split equally between the city and county.
Also that the city show how their increased share would be used to boost tourism in our city.
Study after study has shown how important tourists are to a local economy.
The Randall Study shows Albany has much to offer but we must do more to get people to come and see the great attractions we have to offer.
